We are a custom window treatment company based in Huntington Station, NY, serving homeowners and designers across Long Island, from the North Shore to the Hamptons. We are a small, hardworking team growing our operations and looking for the right person to grow with us.
The Role
We are hiring a Window Treatment Installer to join our team. You will install hard and soft window treatments in residential and commercial client homes across Long Island, including occasional jobs as far east as the Hamptons and North and South Fork. You will drive a company van to job sites, represent Homestead professionally in high-end homes, and communicate with the office throughout the day.
This is a solo field role for most jobs. The ideal candidate is someone who finishes what they start, no matter what it takes.
Location: Huntington Station, NY | Full-Time, On-Site
The Package
- $26–$29 per hour; $30–$34 per hour for candidates with lead potential
- Projected first-year earnings: approximately $54,000 to $72,000
- Quarterly performance bonuses

What You Will Do
- Install window treatments (blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, motorized systems, and more) at client homes and commercial sites across Long Island
- Report to our showroom by 8:30 AM; depart for jobs by 9:00 AM
- Communicate with the office staff after every job and complete job notes, including photos of completed installations
- Utilize opportunities by asking clients about uncovered windows and record measurements to support future sales
- Interact with clients in a professional manner, encouraging them to leave reviews about their experience
- Assist with warehouse inventory, loading/unloading, and light showroom tasks during downtime
You Are a Strong Fit If You
- Complete every job the same day, no matter what comes up
- Are a resourceful problem-solver who calls for help rather than walking away
- Present yourself professionally in client homes and communicate clearly with homeowners
- Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Are comfortable on ladders up to 10 feet (this is a non-negotiable requirement)
- Can work independently for most jobs
- Can lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Can take job photos on a personal phone and communicate with the office throughout the day
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable on ladders up to 10 feet (required)
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs (assistance provided for oversized loads)
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to drive up to 75 miles for job sites
- Proficient with power tools
Preferred Experience
- Window treatment installation, particularly Hunter Douglas products
- Custom millwork or closet installation
- Power tool proficiency
- Familiarity with motorized or smart home systems (Hunter Douglas PowerView, Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit)
