Pay Range: $16.25-$17.00/hour
This is a Full Time, School year (10 + 6) position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during program hours. School year positions follow the school calendar and include the 6-week Summer program. Evening work may be required as job duties demand.
JOB SUMMARY
To act as the primary team member in supporting the classroom teacher and providing for the well-being, education and supervision of children in the classroom. May need to support a child in the position of one to one aide as per the IEP.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Works the daily schedule agreed upon when hired and in offer letter.

- Works with individual students or groups of students on instructional projects to achieve individualized goals for each child.
- Performs both instructional and non-instructional duties under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Supervises children at all times within the classroom setting, including outside playground time, motor time, busing and transitional activities.
- Assists children with behavioral/management needs.
- Functions as a positive, contributing member of the classroom team and demonstrates consistent, nurturing manner toward all children.
- Maintains classroom cleanliness and the orderly appearance of classroom equipment, supplies and displays of children?s work.
- Understands role as Mandated Reporter
- Participates in conferences, workshops and in-service training as needed or recommended to enhance job skills and personal growth and development.
- Adheres to agency?s policies and procedures as well as department guidelines.
- Performs other duties at the discretion of the Supervisor of Health Services and Quality Assurance or his/her designee
- Contributes to the development of IEP?s as appropriate
