We are currently seeking a highly motivated, customer-oriented and professional Retail Sales Associate to join our team. We don’t use the term Team lightly, we are a small business, and we are all here to help you succeed to the highest degree. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling our products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. Our pieces are all about the story! We’re looking for someone who knows how to get to know a customer, how to address their needs and their desires and how to guide them towards the right piece.
A knowledge/passion for the fashion industry is a plus but it is more about the passion and the excitement of being around beautiful unique pieces of fashion and how one can style them for every lifestyle. Our analytics show that over half of our sales are repeat customers. Because they fall in love with the experience of shopping the Morphew World. The average customer spends over an hour in our store. Shopping sustainable clothing is the future of fashion, ironically, because it is rooted in the past. Today’s consumer knows this, but they need guidance and we need someone who is strong and friendly and can help guide our customers through the experience. We like to call our sales floor the dance floor…where magic happens!
Retail Sales Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prior to opening, prepare all displays/signage, and POS set up for the day
- Ensure daily that the store opens on time. Punctuality is a must!
- Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
- Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products. Assist with product demonstrations and explain features and benefits
- Know where products are located in the store and be able to answer all customer questions and address concerns
- Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer as well as upsell additional products or accessories to enhance the customer's purchase. This is a styling role as well!
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner and make every effort to close the sale
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience
- Maintain the appearance of all displays, tidying and restocking as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed
- Assist with stock room organization and inventory management. Participate in inventorying, stocking, and ordering as need
- Close POS and check for accuracy at end of day and shift changes
- Properly secure merchandise and follow closing procedures at the end of day
Retail Sales Requirements and Qualifications:
- Needs to be comfortable with cold calling, direct messaging and texting clients to make appointments.
- Create social media content daily for our Miami account. Whether it be an instagram post/story, or Tik tok.
- Experience in a luxury retail sales setting is strongly preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Familiarity with POS software is a plus
- Commitment to accuracy during all transactions
- Able to memorize product line features and specifications
- Able to engage in dialogue with strangers, helping them make informed decisions
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain visual merchandising standards
- Must be honest, trustworthy, and hardworking
