Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restoration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration industry, particularly in fire and water damage restoration. This role involves responding to emergency situations, assessing damage, and implementing effective restoration solutions. The Restoration Technician will work with a variety of tools and equipment to restore properties to their pre-loss condition while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and restoration services for residential and commercial properties affected by fire, water, or mold damage.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various restoration tasks.
- Conduct thorough assessments of damaged areas to determine the extent of restoration required.
- Implement water extraction, drying techniques, fire and mold remediation processes as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines during all restoration activities, including asbestos abatement when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and communicate effectively with clients regarding the restoration process.
- Be placed on a 24/7 emergency service rotation (on call).
- Assist with any demolition, contents and cleaning.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Previous experience in the restoration industry is preferred, particularly in fire restoration, water damage restoration, or mold remediation.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques and equipment used in carpet cleaning and general property restoration.
- Knowledge of construction practices is a plus, as it relates to structural repairs following damage events.
- Ability to operate both hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
