About Us: BLDG Construction, LLC is a developer-led general contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality buildings throughout the NYC/NJ metro area. We are currently building a 70-unit midrise residential building in Jersey City and are seeking a dependable, experienced, and professional Construction Project Superintendent to lead day-to-day site operations.
Position Overview: The Project Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance. This is a key leadership role, coordinating trades, enforcing plans and specs, and driving the project forward in close collaboration with the project manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all daily jobsite operations for a 70-unit midrise residential project.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, laborers, and suppliers.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and local building codes.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications; ensure work aligns with plans.
- Track progress, maintain site documentation, and hold regular site meetings.
- Solve field-level issues promptly and professionally.
- Uphold company values of respect, accountability, and quality craftsmanship.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role on midrise or multifamily projects.
- Strong understanding of ground-up construction, including framing, MEP systems, and finishes.
- Clear, effective communicator and problem solver.
- OSHA-certified with a strong safety record.
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to quality and team success.
