As a key member of our retail team, you will handle cash register operations, assist customers with product inquiries, and contribute to an engaging shopping experience that keeps our customers coming back. Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales accurately and quickly
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product questions, demos, and upselling opportunities
- Manage cash handling duties with precision, including cash register balancing and transaction reconciliation
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are attractive and accessible
- Support product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits of items
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Supervise or assist with stocking, inventory management, and ensuring the store remains clean and inviting
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities preferred for serving diverse customer bases
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for transactions and balancing registers
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Experience supervising or leading team members is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail math principles
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
