We are a well-established CPA firm in Shelton, WA seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This position is focused on preparing individual and business tax returns, with additional exposure to bookkeeping, payroll, and client accounting services.
This is a fully in-office position based in Shelton, WA and is intended for candidates currently located in the South Puget Sound region or those willing to commute on-site.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Prepare individual income tax returns (Form 1040)
- Prepare business and fiduciary tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120S, 1120, and 1041
- Provide accounting support and make necessary corrections for client accounts
- Assist with payroll services and related support as needed
- Participate in assurance engagements, including preparation of financial statements
- Support additional accounting and tax-related tasks as assigned
- Organize client paperwork and communicate clearly with clients.
- Create and properly track new and completed projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred
- Valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- CPA license preferred
- Prior bookkeeping experience
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Experience Preferences
- Tax preparation experience: 1+ years preferred
- Accounting experience: 3+ years preferred
