The Department of Corrections is accepting applications for Deputy Superintendent.
Applicants will have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and hold or obtain a Certified Correctional Officer licensure by the New Hampshire Association of Counties or another Correctional Certification Authority.
To assist the Superintendent in the management of the institution through implementation of all policies and procedures, by providing supervision of staff, participating in the decision-making process, and ensuring a safe, secure and rehabilitative environment for inmates and staff in order to promote public safety.
Bachelor’s Degree in related law Enforcement field preferred. Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years correctional experience, with a portion of time spent in a supervisory capacity. Candidate must have a good working knowledge of criminal codes, skills in training and instruction, have the ability to use computers, manage difficult situations, and communicate effectively. Candidate must be able to become a certified correctional officer through the New Hampshire Association of Counties, if not already certified.
