Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Therapist to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral care team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify clients’ needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-specific interventions, art therapy, play therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement specialized therapies including applied behavior analysis (ABA), addiction counseling, and crisis intervention techniques to support clients with complex needs.
- Collect and maintain accurate clinical documentation, medical records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, case management activities, and community resource referrals.
- Engage in culturally sensitive counseling approaches to effectively work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Provide mental health and behavioral care for clients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including specialized interventions like social work and special education strategies.
- Facilitate intake processes, patient assessments, and ongoing client communication while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children and youth in mental health or behavioral health settings.
- Strong background in home & community care environments with an understanding of client-centered approaches.
- Demonstrated expertise in trauma-specific interventions, PTSD care, crisis management, conflict management, and gender issues counseling.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, and medical records management within healthcare or mental health organizations.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other neurodiverse conditions.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, art therapy, play therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments using diagnostic tools for mental health conditions while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards.
- Skilled in working with families to support child & family counseling goals through effective communication strategies.
