Lynnhaven Marine is seeking a full time Facility Assistant to support our Facility Maintenance Manager in their daily tasks. The Facility Assistant will be responsible for completing maintenance and repairs to all company-owned vehicles, equipment, and buildings. Occasional tasks include fabrication and seasonal maintenance inspections. Our fleet includes pickups, passenger cars, floor scrubber/sweepers, heavy marine forklifts, small sit-down pallet forklifts, and carbureted small equipment
EXPERIENCE IS NOT NECESSARY WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATE.
Employee must be able to fulfill the following essential functions:
- Perform a standard vehicle inspection to identify safety and wear concerns.
- Safely operate a service lift for vehicles and equipment.
- Complete light repairs and maintenance including but not limited to: oil and filter change, tire rotation, tire repair/replacement, chassis lubrication, and brake repair/replacement
- Safely operate a motor vehicle on public and private property.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Must be proactive, able to manage projects on their own, and able to effectively communicate with the Fleet Maintenance Manager.
- Work on the cooling, plumbing, gas, electrical, mechanical, and communication systems.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
