Order & Chaos Coffee is hiring for Baristas and Shift Leads!
Our staff is responsible for honoring each and every customer by delivering an excellent coffee product every time – consistently, efficiently and timely. They are also responsible for educating/informing customers about our premium coffees, espressos, teas, and food selections.
Responsibilities
- Craft high-quality beverages with attention to presentation and consistency
- Take customer orders, process payments, and accurately operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked café and service area
- Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies, ingredients, and merchandise as needed
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health standards are consistently followed
- Answer customer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and product recommendations
- Create memorable customer experiences that encourage repeat visits
- Educate customers on coffee origins, brewing methods, and featured products
- Represent the brand with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality and coffee craftsmanship.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista, cashier, or in a customer-facing hospitality role preferred
- Knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee brewing methods, and beverage customization
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and beverage quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–30 pounds as needed
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to support coworkers
- Ability to learn recipes, product offerings, and company standards quickly
- Passion for coffee, tea, and creating a welcoming customer experience
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
