In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food with enthusiasm, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Duties
- Prepare a variety of food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring freshness and presentation excellence
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Serve customers with a friendly attitude, upselling menu items to enhance sales and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, adhering to food safety management practices at all times
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals
- Manage food inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen operations during busy periods
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, quick service or fast food restaurant environments, or café settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous experience in retail sales transactions or cashiering is preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
