Join our team at Meadowbrook at Chetek! We are looking for a dependable and motivated Housekeeping Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Housekeeping Department and help ensure our facility remains clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming for our residents.
- Supervise and support the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department
- Schedule and assign housekeeping duties and ensure cleaning schedules are followed
- Train and assist with onboarding new housekeeping team members
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and feedback
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, PPE, and infection control practices
- Maintain adequate housekeeping supplies and help prevent unnecessary waste
- Coordinate housekeeping services with Nursing and other departments
- Assist with developing and maintaining housekeeping procedures and standards
- Complete necessary reports and documentation
- Promote a positive, respectful, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff
- Assist with emergency situations and perform housekeeping duties as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare or nursing facility setting
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to train, supervise, and work effectively with a team
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and cleaning products
- Ability to communicate effectively and work professionally with residents, families, staff, and visitors
- Dependable, flexible, and able to work independently
Physical Requirements: This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Must be able to lift, move, push, or pull at least 25 pounds and assist with resident evacuation during emergencies when necessary.
