Job Summary
We're looking for a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for fabricating and welding high-quality metal components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience reading fabrication drawings, producing clean welds, and takes pride in craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, fitting, and cleaning prior to welding.
- Fabricate and assemble components, including buoys, oceanographic equipment, dollies, frames, and other custom assemblies.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as band saws, grinders, drill presses, and other shop tools.
- Perform basic finishing work, including grinding and polishing welds as required.
- Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to complete projects on schedule.
- Assist with other shop duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with metal fabrication and layout.
- Familiarity with machining or CNC manufacturing environments.
- Experience working in a job shop or low-volume, high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
