Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical operations of our busy dental practice. Duties
- Prepare hygiene rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental x-rays and medical imaging to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix , ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Measure vital signs and medical documentation to monitor patient health status before procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-operative care to enhance patient management and satisfaction.
- Handle dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and dental equipment maintenance to uphold infection control standards.
- Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and ensuring a smooth clinic operation.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA).
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment, preferably with pediatric dentistry experience.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Skilled in dental x-ray techniques and familiar with dental equipment including 3D scanners when applicable.
- Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently.
