Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical projects and ensure they are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction management, with expertise in people management, budgeting, and quality control. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of electricians, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the work of electricians on construction sites to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Review schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements and develop work schedules.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all electrical installations meet industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers to provide updates on progress, challenges, and resource needs.
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Prolog and Primavera for project planning and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols on the construction site to maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior electricians, fostering professional development within the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and installation practices.
- Familiarity with contract management processes and construction estimating techniques.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and other trades.
- Commitment to quality control standards and safety regulations on the construction site.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
