RET TRANSPORT is seeking applicants for a full-time Trucking Dispatcher position for our Stockdale, TX hub. This is a salary position, and pay amount is based on experience. Paid time off is offered and accrual starts after 30 days. Full benefit package offered.
Salary Range 55-85k and up depending on experience
The Dispatcher is primarily responsible for dispatching company drivers in their assigned area. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- This is an in person position.
- Serve as a point of contact to customers, drivers, and field personnel to ensure that loads are hauled in a timely manner.
- Coordinate driver assignments according to customer requests in compliance with DOT regulations, Company practices and policies.
- Maintains positive relations with customers and field personnel.
- Notify drivers of assignments and enter assignment data into the Transportation Management System
- Coordinate operational issues with operational leadership team.
- Initial contact person to respond to emergency calls
- Maintain lease and order data within dispatch system, correct dispatch information, carrier assignments, load requirements, auto schedules, etc. to ensure that information is correct in the dispatching system
- Resolve issues and address customer inquiries that may involve but not limited to ticket discrepancies
- Schedule consists of 4 days on 3 days off. 12hr shifts. NIGHT SHIFT
Minimum experience
- Microsoft suite experience a plus, Excel knowledge is a must
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must have sufficient computer skills and knowledge
- Minimum requirement is High School diploma
- Must be able to send updates throughout shift
- Must be familiar with ETA scheduling
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office and various logistics applications
- A minimum of 2 years with HAZMAT and/or food grade related experience
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision; detail oriented
- Ability to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful conditions.
- Takes initiative and is proactive in addressing issues. Quickly and efficiently completes tasks.
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Experience
- Weltrax dispatching software experience
- Trimble Peoplenet ELD
- Wolfepak/Pak Tranportation ERP/McLeod Software
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, supply chain or equivalent preferred
- Direct experience with dispatch and truck mobility suites
- Knowledge of Operators, Crude hauling processes, and Leases in Eagle Ford Shale area
- Knowledge of food grade dispatching
- Knowledge of HOS regulations
