Tow Truck / Container Truck Driver (4-Day Work Week)
Rathe’s Metal Recycling is a family-owned scrap metal and automotive recycling company in Colchester, VT. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working driver to operate a flatbed tow truck and container truck.
CDL CLASS B REQUIRED!
This is a hands-on, local driving position with variety—no long-haul work, home every night.
Pay: $25–$28/hour depending on experience
Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 4-day work week (36 hours) with potential for additional hours if desired Location: Colchester, VT
Responsibilities:
- Operate flatbed tow truck and container (roll-off/dumpster) truck
- Pick up vehicles, scrap, and containers from customers and job sites
- Perform basic equipment checks and routine maintenance
- Interact with customers in a professional and helpful manner
- Maintain safe, clean, and efficient operation of all equipment
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license (CDL Class B required)
- Ability to safely operate medium-duty trucks
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors
- Mechanically inclined / basic equipment knowledge preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
