POSITION SUMMARY
The Room Attendant/Housekeeper cleans and supplies all assigned guest rooms and common areas. The Room Attendant/Housekeeper must ensure all communication and/or items containing Company, hotel, brand, guest, and employee information is consistent with privacy policies, practices, and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Cleans and supplies guest rooms in safe and efficient manner compliant with policies, procedures and brand standards
Receive room assignments, priority room requests, keys and supplies from management; Review cleaning assignments, retrieve and stock caddie/cart to ensure all supplies, linen and amenities are available to properly clean public area, guest rooms and provide guest requests.
Review lists for any special requests. Turn in keys, properly store and secure caddie/cart and unused supplies at end of shift.
Stock and clean closets and guest rooms with appropriate supplies in accordance with policies, procedures and brand standards. Change linens and towels, make beds, scrub and sanitize bathroom, vacuum, mop, dust, wash windows, mirrors and walls, remove trash, place amenities, etc. Perform quality check on the television, telephone, heating/air conditioning, lights, and other room features.
Remove trash and/or recycling
Complete training as required
Prompt turn in to housekeeping management of all articles left in guest rooms after checkout for entry into Lost and Found.
Attend department meetings as scheduled
Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, chemical, bed-bug, sharps and other safety, security and emergency procedures
Report emergencies, injuries, accidents, missing articles, damage, safety hazards etc. to management
Report any deviation from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management
Check with supervisor before leaving work area for any reason
Perform special projects, tasks, duties and other responsibilities as assigned
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Arrive at work on time and in proper uniform
Speak, listen, write and identify distress signs
Apply consistent, professional behavior with effective listening and communication skills
Ability to operate a lamp, coffee maker, phone, TV, smart devices, and other public space and guest room equipment.
Time manages in a fast-paced environment to complete daily room assignments on a schedule
Remain flexible and efficient under pressure
