DESCRIPTION
Located in the heart of downtown Boulder, Highland City Club is a private business and social club striving to create a new way of working, socializing, growing, and thriving. We believe in the power of community and think there is almost nothing hard work, a good attitude, and some tenacity can’t solve. Built as an elementary school, our 130-year-old home exists to serve humanity at a higher level of Maslow’s hierarchy.
The Club’s byline is ‘Securus Locus,’ which means a ‘Safe Space.' Our goal is to help advance human evolution. We try to achieve this goal through the facilitation of real connections and discussions. People from all walks of life come together over common goals and shared values. Our goal is to create a small slice of paradise, similar to Hotel du Cap, or Ritz Carlton, where we strive to do everything well.
We are searching for a high-functioning, detail oriented candidate to help us expand our Hospitality Team. The ideal candidate enjoys the hustle and bustle of the ‘Restaurant Biz,’ but not the burn out culture, inconsistency of pay, schedule conflicts, etc.
The ideal candidate intuitively understands the difference between Service and Hospitality, and knows how to make people feel truly cared for. This person is graceful and energetic in demeanor, possesses the ability to follow instructions carefully, learns quickly based on feedback, is naturally attentive, professional, informative and kind. The ideal candidate has the ability to use a number of simple technology tools to communicate information from the ground level up to the rest of the team. No prior experience in service or hospitality is necessary, we bet on attitude and are all about working together to educate and train in a way that sets you up for success.
This is a full-time position (30–35 hours per week), Monday through Friday, typically mornings to early evening, with occasional events outside regular hours throughout the year. You will work with a close-knit and passionate team. Timelines and consistency are very important. We do not keep multiple backups standing by to take the shift if you are a ‘no-show’, so the team needs to count on you, and rely on your help each day.
Please review our Website and Charter in some details to get to know us before you apply. We are an equal opportunity employer and are currently offering a starting pay of $19 - $21 per hour for this role.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
