Our school days runs for 6:50AM - 2:30PM (one day a week until 4:00 for planning)

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher to inspire and educate Grade 7 students in a vibrant, engaging classroom environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for science among young learners. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in scientific principles, curriculum development, and innovative teaching methods, ensuring students develop a solid understanding of key scientific concepts while nurturing their individual learning styles. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive science curricula aligned with educational standards, incorporating modern learning technology and interactive lessons.
- Deliver engaging lessons in biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences, utilizing laboratory experiments, dissection techniques, and research activities to deepen understanding.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment that accommodates diverse cultural backgrounds and learning styles.
- Incorporate educational technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement through IT-integrated lessons.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and sharing best practices for science education.
- Mentor students academically and personally, offering guidance on research projects, academic advising, and preparing students for higher education pathways in science fields.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or related field; advanced degrees or certifications in science disciplines such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or genetics are preferred.
- Proven experience teaching middle or high school students in a classroom setting with a focus on science instruction.
- Strong knowledge of scientific research methods, laboratory procedures—including dissection—and current educational technology integration.
- Familiarity with curriculum implementation across diverse learning environments; experience with Montessori or private school settings is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students from varied backgrounds and collaborate with colleagues.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with the ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles.
- Experience working with standardized testing protocols and educational compliance regulations.
- Ability to design lesson plans that incorporate algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, discrete math, and other relevant mathematical concepts within scientific contexts.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and research laboratory experience is highly desirable.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
