About Us
Tri-Logic Services is an upstream oil and gas equipment company that buys, refurbishes, certifies, and resells surplus pressure vessels and related production equipment. Oilfield Logic is our online marketplace, the digital storefront where our inventory lives and where buyers and sellers across the industry connect.
Job Summary
We are hiring an Inventory Technician to lead the equipment intake and listing process for our marketplace. This is a hands-on, technical role that bridges the yard and the digital storefront. You will be the primary Listing Creator on each unit we bring in: capturing accurate measurements, documenting every opening and connection, photographing equipment to brand standards, recording reference video for remote QC, and building complete, customer-ready listings in our internal app.
Strong mechanical aptitude is essential. You will be working around pressure vessels (separators, heater treaters, sand traps, and similar production equipment) and need to understand what you are looking at well enough to identify openings, connection types, dimensions, pressure ratings, and condition. We will train you on our specific equipment categories and the nomenclature we use, but you should arrive comfortable with mechanical systems, threaded and flanged connections, and reading data plates and stamps.
Although your primary responsibility is listing creation, this role is cross-trained on yard operations. You will receive equipment, operate a forklift, power wash and prepare units for documentation, and assist with final yard placement when the team needs support.
Responsibilities
Equipment Documentation and Listing Creation
- Conduct full intake on each unit: verify equipment against purchase documentation, attach Oilfield Logic identification tags, and confirm specifications match what was ordered.
- Take precise measurements of vessels and openings using tape, calipers, and other field tools. Differentiate between ID and OD, document seam-to-seam length, wall thickness, and pressure ratings accurately.
- Photograph equipment following our standard sequence: 8 exterior angles, opening details, data plates, internal views, and damage documentation. Quality and consistency matter — these photos drive customer trust and sale price.
- Record 360° walkthrough video for the customer-facing listing and a separate reference video for remote Manager QC. The reference video requires clear verbal documentation of dimensions, openings, ratings, and condition notes.
- Capture interior vessel photography using the Insta360 camera system (training provided) through accessible openings.
- Build complete draft listings in our internal app, populating dynamic equipment-detail fields, opening tables, accessory checklists, and cost detail tabs from purchase documentation.
- Flag unknowns honestly. When a connection type, dimension, or specification cannot be verified, mark it for Manager review rather than guessing.
Yard and Receiving Support (Cross-Trained)
- Receive incoming equipment, count against POs, note National Board numbers and serial numbers, inspect for damage, and document discrepancies.
- Operate a forklift to move equipment between receiving, cleaning, photography, and final yard locations. Use rated straps, rigging, and wheel chocks safely.
- Power wash exteriors, openings, flange faces, and threads; clean data plate areas gently to preserve markings. Reinstall covers and seal openings before final placement.
- Use basic hand tools for minor adjustments, opening covers, and tag installation.
Process and Systems Discipline
- Track time and expenses against the assigned work order so unit-level P&L stays accurate.
- Move work through our project tracking system (pipeline cards, tags, comments) and keep stakeholders updated at each handoff.
- Cross-reference purchase documents, upload supporting expense documentation to listings, and verify that current location, owner, and purchase-from fields are accurate before submitting for QC.
- Respond to Manager QC feedback, make corrections promptly, and learn from patterns to reduce rework over time.
Travel and Multi-Yard Operations
- Travel between Northeast (Darlington, PA) and Southwest (Texas, Oklahoma) operations on a project basis, typically a few times per quarter for larger intakes or coverage.
- Adapt the documentation process to field conditions when equipment cannot be brought to a photo booth: manage lighting, background, and camera setup on-site to maintain listing quality.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn pressure vessel terminology, connection types, and equipment configurations quickly.
- Forklift operating experience. Certification can be obtained on the job if not already held.
- Comfort with smartphone photography and video, including clear verbal narration on camera. Willingness to learn the Insta360 camera system.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solid systems literacy: comfortable working across Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, OneDrive), web-based tools, and ability to learn proprietary platforms used for listings, time tracking, and project management.
- Strong written communication.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in a yard environment in varied weather.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Prior experience in oilfield, oil and gas, industrial equipment, or heavy equipment environments preferred.
- Familiarity with pressure vessels, separators, heater treaters, or related production equipment preferred.
Benefits
- Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance available after 60 days.
- Paid time off.
- Opportunities for growth as our marketplace expands across yards and equipment categories.
