Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team! I.
Receiving of goods, unloading freight, small packages, LTL, Milk Runs, overseas containers. Loading and unloading returnable packaging.
The following is required when unloading incoming freight:
1. Unload product or material per the receiving check list.
2. Verify the condition of the freight before unloading.
3. Verify Part number on packing slip and incoming goods is correct.
4. If a full container, verify shipment against manifest.
5. Quantity on packing slip verses label, total count, and individual box/container count is correct.
6. Verify PO on packing slip is correct.
7. Verify Quantity received against PO is correct.
8. Verify the due date of the goods or product.
9. Receive product or material in Mapics AS400 InforXA system against PO.
10.Print label(s) for the identification of goods or product.
11.Verify if incoming inspection is required at time of receiving.
12.If quality inspection is required, do not move or store material until approval label is provided.
13.Label and identify all products with Suspa approved labeling before moving material to storage location.
14.Move approval & labeled product to locations available in storage
15.Record movement in Mapics AS400 InforXA system as required
16.Overtime may be required depending upon the workload.
If discrepancies are discovered, contact appropriate departments, i.e., quality, purchasing, or manufacturing.
Coordination of outside service operations when needed.
Coordination of supplier and customer returns if required.
Verify inventory transactions.
Ensure good housekeeping.
Monitor perpetual inventory.
Understanding and maintaining our environmental policy is required.
II.
Work closely with shipping team to support other team members when necessary. Also work closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Scheduling, Quality, Sales, and Incoming Inspection. Perform all tasks as required by Management.
III.
Banding, stretch wrap machine, label printers, computers, scanners, fork lift trucks, reach trucks, weigh scales, bill of lading & packing slip printer, hand-jacks, and Mapics AS400 InforXa software system.
IV.
Weigh scale (calibrated equipment)
Fork Lift Safety Inspection as per the requirements
V.
Organize and prioritize incoming freight (based on manufacturing expectations)
Verify Weigh scale calibration is to date
Perform Fork Lift Safety Inspection as per the requirements
Verify printers are set-up properly
VI.
All employees are responsible to ensure the quality of our product. Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and freight paperwork accompany each shipment. Verify the shipment is packaged and secure for transportation. Ensure rotation of stock by lot codes. Ensure compliance to quality procedures.
Responsible for accuracy of all supporting documentation mentioned above.
Understanding and maintaining our environmental policy as required.
VII.
Responsible for pertinent records related to receiving and material movement. Responsible for accurate transactions to maintain inventory accuracy.
VIII.
Responsible for proper communication of information to all team members.
IX.
Heavy lifting required. Constant Bending, lifting, and moving boxes & materials.
X.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
XI.
High school diploma or equivalent, with good math aptitude.
Employee must have zero points for 6 consecutive months to be eligible for Clerk II position.
XII.
1. Fork lift and reach truck certifications.
2. Inventory Control Experience.
3. Overhead Crane Training and Certification.
4. IBM System 36, Mapics/InforXa, Word, and Internet experience.
5. Be able to create a Certificate of Origin with use of software system and manually in case of power outage or system shutdown.
6. Be able to create a BOL with use of our software system and manually in case of power outage or system shutdown.
7. One on-line or off-site training class related to shipping/receiving or supply chain management required and maintained per year, and approved by supervisor.
8. Cross trained for one other position within the shipping department that you have not yet performed.
Pay: $19.18 - $24.88 per hour
