Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide essential support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, utilizing specialized techniques for behavior management.
- Provide transportation for appointments or outings using personal or agency vehicles, ensuring safety at all times.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness in meal preparation areas.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
- Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental well-being and community involvement.
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols is essential.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support is preferred.
- Familiarity with long-term care practices, including medication administration and vital signs monitoring.
- Ability to operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for transportation duties are advantageous.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
