Role Description: The Retail Store Manager is a part-time (20 hrs a week), on-site role based at Bellport General in Bellport, NY. This role oversees daily store operations, including supervising staff (including hiring and firing), managing schedules, fulfilling e-commerce orders, and ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and visually appealing. The Retail Store Manager supports customer service by being present on the floor, responding to questions, resolving issues, and promoting a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating deliveries, implementing retail loss prevention practices, fulfilling e-commerce orders, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to create a welcoming environment.
- Effective Communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and vendors in a clear and professional manner.
- Experience with Store Management, including supervising staff, managing schedules, and coordinating daily operations.
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, with attention to detail and adherence to store policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a retail environment, including standing for extended periods and handling merchandise.
- Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and standard retail software tools.
- Demonstrated reliability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior retail, hospitality, and supervisory experience is preferred
- Interest in retail is essential
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
