Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting where attention to detail and a commitment to excellence are essential. Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Hotel Housekeeper plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through thorough cleaning and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to hotel standards
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish amenities such as towels and toiletries
- Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and perform floor care to maintain a pristine environment
- Perform detailed cleaning of carpets, upholstery, and other surfaces as needed
- Restock supplies in guest rooms and public spaces to ensure availability for guests
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
- Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, elevators, and other public areas
- Adhere to hotel policies regarding sanitation standards and guest privacy
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality preferred; experience in industrial or janitorial cleaning is a plus
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team
- Previous hotel experience or housekeeping management experience is advantageous but not required
- A positive attitude with excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding guest service
