What we’re looking for:
- Valid educator certification for special education (Pre-K level required)
- Previous experience supporting students with autism is highly preferred
- Competency and comfort assisting with toileting routines
- Ability to provide patient, compassionate, developmentally appropriate instruction
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with families and school team
- Willingness to work exclusively on-site
- Experience as a travel teacher or interest in relocating for assignment encouraged
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to a class of six Pre-K students
- Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) with attention to each student’s needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom climate
- Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
- Assist with daily living skills, including toileting, as needed
- Track and report student progress toward defined outcomes
