Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the preparation and service of food at various events, ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for the food industry, hospitality, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in fine dining, banquet service, or food handling is highly valued. The Catering Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of catering services, from setup to cleanup, while adhering to food safety standards.
Duties
- 100% Reliability
- Complete open availability 7 days a week, mornings-afternoons.
- Days may start as early as 4AM
- Assist with catering delivery if needed.
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation for catering events
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Set up event spaces including tables, linens, and serving stations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the catering area before, during, and after events
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Support dietary accommodations and special requests as needed
- Handle food items safely during transportation and service
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless catering experiences
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as required
Experience
- Previous experience in fine dining, banquet service, or food industry roles preferred
- Customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or food handling is advantageous
- Background in catering or event setup is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and protocols
- Barista or restaurant experience can be beneficial but not mandatory
- Dietary aide experience or familiarity with dietary restrictions is a plus
