Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Oversee food safety compliance by enforcing sanitation protocols, handling food safely, and maintaining cleanliness standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Lead staff training and development initiatives, including onboarding new team members, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive team environment.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation to ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours while optimizing labor costs.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve any operational issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control techniques and food safety standards; experience with Aloha POS and Micros POS systems is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in hospitality or restaurant management roles.
- Excellent communication skills for staff training, interviewing candidates, and managing team dynamics.
- Background in culinary arts or food industry management; fine dining or banquet experience is a plus.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage shift operations efficiently.
- Familiarity with budgeting, food production processes, catering services, and hospitality management principles.
