Bingham Nerve and Muscle is seeking a qualified and motivated NCS Technologist to join our team. You’ll work alongside our physician to perform high-quality nerve conduction studies for patients with neuromuscular conditions. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in a hands-on, patient-centered healthcare role. An on-the-job training program is available, making this an ideal position for those new to the field or seeking to build their expertise in Nerve Conduction Velocities.
Job Summary:
- Perform routine and complex Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) under physician supervision
- Assist with preparation for Electromyography (EMG)
- Prepare patients for testing; explain procedures clearly and compassionately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
- Maintain the patient's safety through NCV testing
- Enter patient data and test results into EMR systems (training provided)
- Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Friendly
- Reliable
- Good communication skills are essential for this position.
- Efficient administration and clinical operation policies.
- Intermediate computer literacy skills and keyboard proficiency is required.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Must be willing to be flexible in terms of hours and traveling. Occasional Saturday morning appointments.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Will consider a neurodiagnostic technologist interested in training in Nerve Conduction Studies.
- Prior experience in neurodiagnostic testing or a related healthcare field.
- Certificated Nerve Conduction Technologist (C.N.C.T. or R.NCS.T ) is a plus, but not required.
