POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dental Clinic Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service for all patients and visitors entering our office. The responsibilities of this role include greeting patients, completing the sign in process, scheduling future appointments, and handling incoming phone calls. They will assist patients in accordance with the training they have received ensuring patients receive the best possible service at Caridad Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets patients visiting the dental clinic for various services and procedures
- Communicates information to patients and manages flow of dental waiting area.
- Answers incoming phone calls promptly, responds to patient inquiries, receives messages, and forwards correspondence to necessary parties as needed
- Schedules and confirms all patient dental appointments.
- Reviews patient records periodically to maintain up-to-date eligibility requirements and ensures appropriate physician referral forms have been completed.
- Confirms availability for dentist and other dental volunteers to confirm work schedules and find substitutes, when necessary.
- Schedules appointments, manages check-in and check-out off all patients in Eagle Soft and Athena.
- Ensures all patient forms are correctly filled out and signed.
- Assists in maintaining the electronic oral health record system to include
- Entering and maintaining dental patient data; and generating reports (e.g., for the Clinic Director).
- Maintaining a record of missed appointments.
- Providing reports of volunteer and patient statistics as needed.
- Maintaining various daily records of all volunteers.
- Creating digital records for all new patients in EagleSoft.
- Assist with training new front desk employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- 2+ years clerical experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a team.
- Ability to comply with all HIPPA Regulations.
- Ability to perform work with great attention to detail and accept constructive criticism.
- Ability to manage a flexible work schedule; may include some Saturdays.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
