Restaurant Hubert is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen of its renowned French dining room beneath Sydney’s CBD. About the Role
As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen and maintaining high standards across service and preparation.
- Leading sections of the kitchen during service and ensuring smooth coordination between stations
- Supporting the Head Chef in delivering consistent, high-quality food across every service
- Maintaining strong mise en place, prep systems and kitchen organisation
- Supporting training and development of junior chefs
- Assisting with ordering, stock control and supplier deliveries
- Monitoring portioning, waste control and kitchen efficiency
- Upholding food safety, hygiene and WHS standards at all times
- Contributing to a positive kitchen culture built on professionalism, teamwork and accountability
About You
As a capable and reliable chef, you will bring structure, energy and leadership to the kitchen.
- Experience as a Sous Chef in a premium dining restaurant
- A calm and professional approach to high-pressure service environments
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence in managing prep, service flow and kitchen coordination
- Experience supporting junior chefs through training and mentorship
- A commitment to food safety, cleanliness and operational discipline
