We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Receptionist/Treatment Coordinator to join our vibrant dental team. You will manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, insurance verification, and treatment planning. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix
- Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth
- Collect patient information, update medical and dental records accurately in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech
- Review treatment plans with patients, explain procedures clearly, and assist with financial arrangements and payment options
- Manage phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, answer multi-line phone systems, and direct calls appropriately
- Process insurance claims, follow up on outstanding payments, and perform medical billing tasks including CPT coding and ICD coding for accurate documentation
- Maintain organized medical records, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with office management duties such as filing, faxing, data entry, and maintaining a clean and welcoming front desk environment
- Support the dental team by coordinating care plans, handling intake procedures, and managing patient flow efficiently
Skills
- Extensive experience in dental office administration with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT)
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Dentrix Ascend, or similar platforms; familiarity with Epic or Meditech is a plus
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10-key), and familiarity with health information management software like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Prior clinic or dental experience is preferred; familiarity with medical billing, medical collection processes, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and care plan coordination is advantageous
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clerical support experience
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
