Step into an active kitchen role at Five Guys. You will cross-train on various service stations—from taking orders at the register to preparing fresh ingredients and cooking. This role requires no previous restaurant experience. We provide a complete training program to teach you the exact skills needed to prep real food from scratch and keep orders moving efficiently during busy lunch and dinner rushes.
Requirements to Apply
- Required:
- 18 years of age or older
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation to the Newburgh location
- Physical ability to stand and work on your feet for the duration of a shift
- Preferred:
- Problem-solving skills and a team-first collaborative attitude
- Shift flexibility to support the crew during weekend or evening hours
Your Daily Tasks
- Greet guests, answer questions about the menu, and accurately process customer orders at the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle accurate cash drawer transactions during your shift.
- Prepare fresh food ingredients daily and cook burgers and fries to strict brand standards.
- Enforce strict kitchen operations and food safety guidelines across the dining room and prep areas.
- Support overall kitchen operations by assisting with daily inventory management and restocking.
- Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate workflow and ensure smooth service during high-volume periods.
