Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Programs, sets up, and operates CNC machinery to manufacture complex precision parts for drilling and geotechnical equipment, ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Program CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM software

Perform complex setups, including fixturing, tooling selection, and offsets

Machine close-tolerance parts from steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys

Inspect finished parts to blueprint specifications

Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions

Mentor CNC Operators and Assistants

Maintain accurate production and inspection records
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED
-
3+ years CNC machining experience

Proficiency in G-code programming
-
Ability to work to tight tolerances (±0.001")
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology

CAM software experience (Mastercam, Fusion 360)

Experience machining drill rods or downhole tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Prolonged standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, exposure to cutting fluids, metal dust, and noise. Required PPE at all times.
