Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment. This role is essential in providing exceptional service and ensuring guest satisfaction in hospitality settings or maintaining cleanliness standards in other environments. The Housekeeper will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, surface sanitation, and general housekeeping duties, utilizing their experience in janitorial, industrial, or custodial work.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces according to established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and specialized floor care techniques.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning products to ensure availability for guests and staff.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and disinfected to promote health and safety standards.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuums, buffers, and extractors.
- Report maintenance issues or damages to management promptly for repair or replacement.
- Adhere to safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Support team members with additional custodial or janitorial tasks as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
Experience
- Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services preferred; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods highly desirable.
- Experience with housekeeping management or supervisory roles is advantageous but not required.
- Familiarity with hotel standards or institutional cleaning procedures is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
