Position Overview
Line Drive Services is looking for a dependable, hardworking independent contractor to join us as an ongoing field crew member. This is not a temporary or single-project opportunity. We need someone who can consistently support our team across concrete, pavement, property maintenance, and other service projects moving forward.
This is a hands-on labor position for someone comfortable with physical work, outdoor job sites, and a variety of construction and maintenance responsibilities. Concrete experience is strongly preferred, but we will also consider candidates with experience in construction, pavement maintenance, facilities maintenance, or other trades.
We expect to offer full-time hours based on our current workload. The ideal person is looking for steady, long-term contract work and wants to become a reliable part of our field team.
Responsibilities
- Support the crew across a variety of construction and maintenance projects
- Assist with concrete demolition, site preparation, forming, pouring, finishing, repairs, and cleanup
- Perform general labor related to pavement and property maintenance
- Load, unload, organize, and care for tools, materials, and equipment
- Prepare job sites and maintain clean and safe work areas
- Follow project instructions and coordinate effectively with crew leaders and other contractors
- Perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Arrive on time and communicate reliably about scheduling and availability
- Help wherever needed to keep projects moving efficiently
Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Reliable transportation to and from the Line Drive Services shop is required
- Transportation from the shop to job sites will generally be provided in a company vehicle
- Previous concrete experience is strongly preferred
- Experience in construction, pavement maintenance, landscaping, facilities maintenance, or another trade is helpful
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools
- Able to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying construction materials
- Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate clearly
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Willing to learn new services and take on different types of work
- Able to work independently and as part of a crew
Background Checks and Job-Site Access
Some customer properties, buildings, and job sites require background screening before workers may be granted access. Candidates must be willing and able to complete background checks when required for assigned work. Access to certain projects may depend on meeting the customer’s site-access requirements.
Contractor Arrangement
This is an ongoing independent-contractor opportunity and not a W-2 employee position. The selected contractor will be responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and other obligations associated with independent-contractor status.
This role provides consistent support across Line Drive Services projects rather than being limited to one specific job. Full-time hours are expected based on the company’s current workload, although hours may fluctuate with scheduling, weather, and business needs.
Compensation
The hourly contract rate is $22–$30 per hour, depending on relevant experience, concrete skills, reliability, and ability to work independently.
