What this job is
You run a route across the Phoenix Valley cleaning up dog waste from our customers' yards. We'll be straight with you: it's outdoor, physical, hot-in-Arizona-summer work. If that's a dealbreaker, this isn't your job and we both just saved a week. Still reading? Good — here's why our best people stay.
You get paid for what you actually produce. Most jobs pay the person who does the least the same as the person who does the most. We think that's backwards.
- A guaranteed floor of $18/hour — you never go home with less, even on a slow or rained-out day. Your downside is always protected.
- On top of that, you earn a share of the revenue on your route. The more yards you finish cleanly, the more you make — no cap. Our team runs $20–28/hour once they're up to speed, and our top techs clear $25+/hour.
- You always take home whichever is higher — the floor or your production. Bad day, you're protected. Great day, you get paid for it.
We run a team leaderboard so everyone can see where they stand and push each other. If you like to win, you'll fit right in.
You represent us in every yard — this is a customer-facing job
Here's what sets us apart, and what we hire hardest for: you're the face of Crappy Cleanup in someone's backyard. Our customers are home, their kids and dogs are around, and you are who they see. The techs who thrive here are friendly, respectful, and leave a yard so clean the customer is glad they hired us. A wave, a good attitude, and doing the job right the first time is how we keep customers — and keeping customers is how your route (and your pay) grows.
What a day looks like
- Load up and run your assigned route — some routes are tight, some have longer drives between stops. It's real work.
- Routes start at 7am and typically run until about 3/4PM each day
- Clean every yard to standard — thorough, every time — and treat each property like it's your own.
- Be friendly and professional if a customer's out (they will be), and great with their dogs.
- Finish your full route every day — every yard done right, not rushed.
What we need from you (be honest with yourself here)
- Reliable transportation — non-negotiable, this is a driving route job.
- A current, valid driver's license with NO points on your record. We run a motor vehicle check before you start.
- You can physically handle Arizona summers. You'll be outside, on your feet, in the heat. This is the #1 reason people quit, so know it now.
- You show up. On time, every scheduled day. Our whole model breaks if a route doesn't run.
- You love dogs. You'll be around customers' dogs in every yard, all day.
- You're good with people. Customers are home while you work — friendly, respectful, presentable.
- You take pride in the work. Yes, it's dog poop — it's also someone's backyard where their kids play. Do it like you'd want it done at your own house.
What you get
- $18/hr floor + uncapped performance pay — realistically $20–28/hr, top techs $25+.
- Consistent daytime hours, Monday–Friday, plus Saturdays (sometimes a half route, sometimes a full one — Saturday availability is required). Home every night.
- Real advancement — our lead techs came up off the routes and earn a higher floor. Produce and show up, and there's a path.
- A team that competes and wins — leaderboard, standards, and people who push each other.
- Straightforward management — you'll always know what's expected, how you're measured, and exactly how your pay is calculated.
Who thrives here
Competitive, self-driven, reliable, loves dogs, and genuinely good with people. Someone who'd rather be measured than hidden, likes finishing, likes being outside, and takes pride in a customer being glad they came. If you've ever been the hardest worker on a team and been paid the same as the guy coasting next to you — this is the fix.
This job isn't for everyone. Please don't apply if any of these are you:
- You can't pass a background check.
- You don't have a valid driver's license (or it's suspended or has points).
- You're not comfortable around dogs — they're part of every day here.
- You'd rather not deal with customers — you'll see them daily.
- Arizona heat is a dealbreaker — you'll be out in it all day.
- You want a job that isn't physical — this one's on your feet and moving.
- Showing up reliably and owning your work isn't your style — we count on each other out here.
- You can't bring a decent attitude most mornings.
- You'd smoke, vape, or use anything on the job.
