Legacy Personnel, Inc. is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN to join our team at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. This is a 13-week contract position providing 36 hours of care per week during the evening shift. As a Med/Surg RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure adherence to safety standards, clinical protocols, and evidence-based practices to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
Location: Tenet Healthcare / Valley Baptist Medical Center – Harlingen, TX
Contract: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours/week, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Hourly Rate: $52/hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- NIHSS certification
