Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals and departures
- Verify delivery accuracy by inspecting packages, obtaining signatures, and completing necessary documentation
- Handle heavy lifting with proper technique to load and unload merchandise safely
- Maintain organized records of deliveries, route logs, and inventory movements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving or route driving preferred; a valid driver’s license is required
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Demonstrated ability in customer service,
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing
- Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently in a fast-paced setting
