Allegria Village is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resource Coordinator to lead all Human Resources functions across our senior living campus, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing. This leadership position plays a critical role in supporting our mission by fostering a positive employment environment that enables us to recruit, develop, and retain exceptional employees dedicated to providing outstanding care and service to our residents.
Nursing Home/Long-Term Care experience is required.
The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of all HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, leave management, performance management, training and development, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will partner closely with senior leadership to support organizational goals, promote employee engagement, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Lead and oversee all Human Resources operations for the campus.
- Conduct and manage onboarding processes for new employees.
- Maintain employee personnel records, licensing documentation, I-9 records, and other required employment files.
- Develop and implement HR programs, policies, and practices that support employee engagement, retention, and organizational success.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies.
- Identify workforce needs and implement best practices for recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Conduct employment terminations and disciplinary actions in partnership with department leadership.
- Administer employee benefits, leave programs, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims.
- Oversee performance management, employee recognition, engagement initiatives, and professional development programs.
- Create and facilitate employee training and leadership development programs.
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, healthcare regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct investigations and assist with employee relations matters and conflict resolution.
- Analyze HR metrics and organizational trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Remain current on employment law changes, HR best practices, and industry trends.
- Participate in committees and initiatives that promote quality working conditions, resident satisfaction, and operational excellence.
- Support organizational goals while maintaining the company's vision, values, and culture.
- Oversees payroll administration, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, maintaining compliance with applicable wage and hour laws, and resolving payroll-related issues in collaboration with finance and department leaders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources leadership experience.
- Nursing Home, Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or Senior Living experience required.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and compliance.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
