We are a patient-focused, privately owned optometry practice seeking an experienced and personable Lead Optician to join our growing team. Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service while assisting patients with frame and lens selection.
- Accurately fit, adjust, and dispense eyewear.
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear products.
- Oversee daily optical operations and ensure an organized, efficient workflow.
- Train, mentor, and support optical team members.
- Manage frame inventory, merchandising, and vendor relationships.
- Verify prescriptions and ensure accuracy of all eyewear orders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve patient concerns with professionalism and care.
- Collaborate closely with doctors and staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an optician required; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, and frame styling.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on patient education rather than high-pressure sales.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with electronic optical management Officemate software is a plus.
