Purpose of Post:
The Jaq. Group is a fast-moving company which has experienced considerable growth. The Despatch Operative is responsible for accurately preparing, packing, and dispatching customer orders, ensuring they are presented to a high standard and shipped safely and on time to meet customer expectations.
Key Tasks include:
- Prepare customer orders for packing and despatch.
- Pack orders securely to ensure they arrive in excellent condition.
- Carry out quality checks on products before despatch to ensure accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Ensure all required documentation is correctly completed and included with customer orders.
- Receive, unload, and process incoming deliveries, checking for accuracy and reporting any discrepancies.
- Liaise with courier partners to support the timely collection and delivery of orders.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory control activities.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
- Support general warehouse operations and assist colleagues as required to meet business needs.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role as directed by management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of materials handling & control in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Flexible and adaptable
- Able and willing to work additional hours
