Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and the ability to manage time effectively while ensuring timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate routes and schedules.
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and documentation.
- Good communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
