Job Summary
The Dining Room Server plays a vital role in providing exceptional dining experiences for residents in assisted living. This position involves serving meals, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in the dining area. Duties
- Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
- Assist with meal preparation and food production as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and cleaning surfaces after meals.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to ensure all food handling meets health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with residents and addressing their needs during meal times.
- Support kitchen staff with cooking and meal preparation tasks when required.
- Monitor inventory levels of dining supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Uphold sanitation standards throughout the dining room and kitchen areas.
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is preferred.
- Background in the food industry or culinary experience is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently serve meals during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities, including understanding special diets and meal preparations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
