United Concrete Products is seeking two skilled and safety-conscious Overhead Crane Operators to join our 1st-shift manufacturing team. We have openings at two experience levels — see the details for each position below. In both roles, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating overhead cranes to move concrete products and materials throughout our facility.
Position 1: Crane Operator — Entry Level
Crane Tonnage: 5-Ton to 10-Ton Overhead Crane
About This Role
This position is a great opportunity for a crane operator looking to grow their career in a stable, fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will operate a 5-ton to 10-ton overhead crane and work closely with an experienced team.
Schedule
- Start Time: 4:00 AM
- Shift Length: 10–11 hours per day
- Occasional Saturday overtime may be required
Experience Required
- 6 months to 1 year of recent, verifiable overhead crane operating experience
Position 2: Crane Operator — Mid-Level
Crane Tonnage: 20-Ton to 30-Ton Overhead Crane
About This Role
This position is ideal for a more seasoned crane operator who is comfortable handling larger, heavier lifts in a demanding production environment. You will operate a 20-ton to 30-ton overhead crane and play a key role in the efficiency and safety of our facility operations.
Schedule
- Start Time: 6:00 AM
- Shift Length: 10–11 hours per day
- Occasional Saturday overtime may be required
Experience Required
- 3–5 years of recent, verifiable experience operating 20-ton to 30-ton overhead cranes
Key Responsibilities (Both Positions)
- Safely operate an overhead crane to lift, move, and position heavy concrete products and materials
- Perform daily pre-operational safety inspections on the crane and all rigging equipment
- Collaborate with ground crew and rigging team members using clear hand signals and verbal communication
- Adhere to all OSHA and company-specific safety guidelines at all times
- Assist with other yard or plant duties as needed
Job Requirements (Both Positions)
- Experience: Recent, verifiable crane operating history at the applicable tonnage level for the position you are applying for
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Safety-First Mindset: A proven commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and your team
- Flexibility: Ability and willingness to work a demanding early-morning schedule and occasional Saturday overtime
