Under the general supervision of the Traffic Signal Supervisor, performs journey level work in the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical and electronically controlled traffic signal control equipment, traffic video and detection equipment; operates a bucket truck, and supervises assigned assistants; does related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited high school and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the repair and installation of electronic equipment or any equivalent combination of education, training and experiences as described above.
NOTE: Post-high school education in the electronic, electrical and/or electro-mechanical fields may substitute for work experience on a yearly basis up to a maximum of two (2) years, of which one (1) year must have been in the traffic signal repair or installation field.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: At time of appointment, must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
Within six (6) months of appointment, possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Obtain and maintain IMSA Level 1 Signal Certification within one (1) year of appointment. Obtain and maintain IMSA Level 2 Signal Certification within two (2) years of appointment.
