Upper Cape Advanced Dentistry in Bourne, MA, is a growing general dentistry practice looking for a friendly, compassionate, and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our close-knit team.
We provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. Our practice is busy and growing, and we take pride in providing our patients with the highest standards of care in a welcoming and professional environment.
We are a paperless, fully digital practice utilizing Dentrix practice management software and DEXIS digital imaging.
Recent graduates are welcome to apply! Dentrix experience is a plus, but not required. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, personable, and able to work efficiently while providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Review and document patients' medical and dental histories
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene examinations and assessments
- Provide preventive and periodontal hygiene services, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and fluoride treatments
- Take and interpret dental X-rays as appropriate
- Assess teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues and document abnormalities or areas of concern
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and periodontal health
- Communicate effectively with patients and the dental team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming operatory
- Turn over and prepare rooms between patients
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Work collaboratively with the dentist and the rest of the clinical team to provide excellent patient care
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Current Massachusetts Dental Hygiene license
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team member
- Dentrix experience is a plus, but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Schedule
Part-Time: Approximately 16-18 hours per week
- Mondays: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Wednesdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
This is an excellent opportunity for a hygienist looking for a consistent, one-day-per-week position with a friendly and supportive dental team.
