We don't want you to be an apprentice forever. This position is explicitly designed as a gateway role. We want to teach you the window and door industry from the ground up so you can transition into a higher-paying career with us.
Once you master the trade, your career path can go one of two ways based on your strengths:
- The Field Path: Advance into a Lead Installer role, managing your own crew and earning top-tier trade wages.
- The Office Path: Transition into Sales or Project Management, using your hands-on installation knowledge to confidently consult clients and build lucrative quotes.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Learn the Trade: Work side-by-side with experienced Lead Installers to learn the proper techniques for removing and installing windows and doors.
- Site Preparation & Cleanup: Set up drop cloths, organize tools, prep openings, and ensure the job site is left cleaner than how you found it.
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport heavy window and door units from the shop to the work vehicles and into the job sites.
- Tool Mastery: Properly and safely operate hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and ladders under supervision.
- Represent the Company: Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while working in our customers' homes.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- The Right Attitude: A strong work ethic, a desire to learn, and a reliable, punctual mindset.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift 50–75+ lbs consistently, climb ladders, and work on your feet in various weather conditions.
- Basic Skills: Familiarity with basic hand and power tools is a plus, but a willingness to learn is most important.
- Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record and reliable transportation to get to our shop/office every morning.
- Career-Minded: Someone who wants to absorb knowledge and move up into a leadership or sales role within the company.
