The Center partners with the Natomas, Twin Rivers, Sacramento, and Elk Grove School Districts to bring exciting, high-quality after-school programs to students in TK/K–12.
As a Team Leader, you’ll be the heart of the program, keeping students safe, engaged, and inspired while leading activities that make learning fun. You’ll play a key role in shaping positive experiences and building connections with your communities.

Maintain a safe and supportive environment- both physically and emotionally, for all students.
Manage a classroom of up to 20 students, promoting positive behavior and keeping youth actively engaged.
Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, and academic growth, including homework help, enrichment, and recreation.
Create and submit lesson plans that align with program goals.
Mentor and guide students, encouraging positive behavior and character development.
Collaborate with fellow Team Leaders and school staff to ensure smooth program operations.
Report any accidents, safety issues, or concerns promptly to the Program Manager.
Demonstrate professionalism by treating all staff equitably, maintaining consistent attendance, and upholding the Center’s values.
Complete basic cleanup tasks related to classroom and cafeteria use.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development as required.
Job Specifications
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid TB clearance and DOJ/FBI background check
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to fluently speak, read, write, and comprehend English
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: 48 units of undergraduate coursework from an accredited college/university OR a Para-Educator Certificate (may vary by school district)
Highly Desirable: Associate’s degree or higher in Child Development, Education, Social Services, Psychology, or a related field
At least 1 year of experience working with youth in educational or developmental settings, such as:
Classroom instruction or academic tutoring
Coaching sports or recreation programs
Youth counseling or leadership in summer camps, clubs, or education-based organizations
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Frequent walking throughout the shift
Occasionally lift up to 35 pounds
We operate high-quality before, day, and after school programming for students virtually and on campus at local elementary, middle, and high schools. Students receive academic and enrichment opportunities from our staff of Team Leaders! We encourage and promote the development of youth by providing them with a safe, fun, and nurturing learning environment where they are able to acquire new skills and grow as an individual.
